1. INTRODUCTION
RebuildAfterStroke (“Rebuild After Stroke,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Utah.
We operate RebuildAfterStroke.org (the “Site”), including the Recovery Wishlist (the “Wishlist”), a service designed to help stroke survivors, caregivers, family members, friends, and supporters communicate recovery-related needs and coordinate assistance.
This Privacy Policy explains:
● what information we collect;
● how we use information;
● when information may be shared;
● the choices available to you; and
● how we protect information.
By accessing or using the Site or Wishlist, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
2. OUR PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
We strive to follow several simple principles:
● We collect only information reasonably necessary to operate the Site and Wishlist.
● We do not sell personal information.
● Users control the visibility of their Wishlist profiles.
● We seek to protect information using reasonable safeguards.
● We respect the dignity and privacy of stroke survivors, caregivers, and their families.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information You Provide
You may voluntarily provide information including:
● name;
● email address;
● account credentials;
● profile photograph;
● information about recovery needs;
● information about caregiving needs;
● Amazon Wishlist links;
● messages sent to us;
● responses to surveys or feedback requests; and
● other information you choose to submit.
Providing information is voluntary. However, certain information may be required to create and maintain an account.
Information About Another Individual
Some Wishlist profiles may be created by caregivers, spouses, adult children, guardians, or other authorized representatives.
If you submit information about another person, you represent that you have authority to do so and that the information is shared in a manner consistent with that person’s wishes and privacy preferences.
Health-Related Information
The Wishlist may allow users to voluntarily share information relating to:
● stroke recovery;
● disability;
● rehabilitation;
● caregiving;
● mobility challenges;
● adaptive equipment;
● recovery goals; and
● similar personal experiences.
Sharing such information is entirely voluntary.
Rebuild After Stroke does not require medical information to use the Wishlist.
Rebuild After Stroke is not a healthcare provider, health plan, healthcare clearinghouse, or other covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”).
Information voluntarily posted through the Wishlist generally is not protected health information under HIPAA.
Users should carefully consider their chosen visibility settings before sharing health-related information.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Site, certain information may be collected automatically, including:
● IP address;
● browser type;
● operating system;
● device type;
● pages viewed;
● dates and times of access;
● referring websites; and
● general usage information.
This information helps us understand how visitors use the Site and improve its functionality.
Information We Generally Do Not Collect
We generally do not collect or store:
● payment card information;
● bank account information;
● Social Security numbers;
● driver’s license numbers;
● government-issued identification numbers;
● medical records; or
● insurance records.
Purchases made through Amazon are governed by Amazon’s own systems and policies.

We do not sell personal information.
We do not use personal information for behavioral advertising.
5. WISHLIST VISIBILITY SETTINGS
Users control who may view Wishlist content.
Available settings may include:
Public
Content may be visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines.
Unlisted
Content is intended to be accessible only to individuals who possess the direct link.
Although we attempt to prevent search engine indexing of Link-Only profiles, we cannot guarantee that third parties will not discover, share, or repost profile links.
Private
Content is visible only to the account holder while logged into the account.
The default visibility setting for newly created Wishlists should be Link-Only unless otherwise specified.
Users are encouraged to review visibility settings carefully before sharing personal information.
6. COMMUNICATIONS
We may send communications including:
● account confirmations;
● password reset messages;
● security notifications;
● service announcements;
● responses to support requests; and
● other administrative communications.
These communications are generally considered necessary for operation of the Site and Wishlist.
7. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to:
● maintain login sessions;
● remember preferences;
● improve functionality;
● understand traffic patterns; and
● evaluate Site performance.
Users may adjust browser settings to refuse or remove cookies.
Disabling cookies may affect functionality.
Analytics Services
We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to better understand Site usage.
Analytics services may collect information regarding visitor activity, browser characteristics, device information, and related usage data.

Amazon
The Wishlist may display or link to Amazon Wishlists.
Amazon independently controls:
● user accounts;
● purchases;
● payment processing;
● shipping;
● returns;
● customer service; and
● privacy practices.
We do not control Amazon’s operations and are not responsible for Amazon’s conduct or policies.
Hosting and Infrastructure Providers
We may use hosting and infrastructure providers such as Wix and other service providers to operate the Site.
Such providers may process information on our behalf as reasonably necessary to provide services.
Other Service Providers
We may use third parties for:
● website hosting;
● email delivery;
● analytics;
● security monitoring;
● technical support; and
● similar operational functions.
We seek to work with reputable providers and limit access to information to what is reasonably necessary.
9. INFORMATION SHARING
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information:
● with service providers assisting us in operating the Site;

● to protect users, the public, or the organization;
● in connection with legal proceedings;
● to investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents; or

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify individuals.

The Site is operated from the United States.
If you access the Site from another country, information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
By using the Site, you consent to such transfers.
11. DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
● operate the Wishlist;
● maintain accounts;
● comply with legal obligations;
● resolve disputes;
● investigate misuse; and
● enforce agreements.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or archived systems before being removed in the ordinary course of operations.
Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.
12. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the ability to:
● access information we maintain about you;
● correct inaccurate information;
● request deletion of information;
● modify profile visibility settings;
● request a copy of information you provided; or
● request restrictions on certain processing activities.

13. CHILDRENS PRIVACY
The Site and Wishlist are not directed toward children under thirteen (13) years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen.
If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
14. SECURITY
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Such safeguards may include:
● encrypted communications;
● access controls;
● password protections;
● software updates;
● monitoring; and
● related security measures.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. SECURITY INCIDENTS
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the matter and provide notifications when required by applicable law.
16. PUBLIC INFORMATION AND SEARCH ENGINES
Information made publicly visible may be:
● indexed by search engines;
● copied by third parties;
● archived;
● shared on social media;
● captured in screenshots; or
● redistributed elsewhere.
Even after content is removed from the Wishlist, copies may remain beyond our control.
We cannot guarantee removal of information from third-party systems.
17. ACCESSIBILITY
Rebuild After Stroke strives to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
We welcome feedback regarding accessibility barriers and will make reasonable efforts to address concerns.

18. AMAZON ASSOCIATES DISCLOSURE
Rebuild After Stroke participates in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for websites to earn advertising fees through qualifying purchases.
If a user clicks an Amazon link and completes a qualifying purchase, Rebuild After Stroke may receive a commission at no additional cost to the purchaser.
Participation in the Amazon Associates Program does not influence the information, resources, or services we provide.
19. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and post the revised version on the Site.
Continued use of the Site following publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
